iran and a way to reduce oil demand

In the united states and territories only 2 percent of electricty is created with oil and of that two percent alot can be replaced with otec (ocean transfer electric current) .... A comprehensive plan to switch to otec, trash to energy, solar and wind, and some sewage to oil and algae to biomass in these areas can easily replace the diesel that is used in the plants. much of the oil is a byproduct of gasoline production (according to heco) and cutting it's use would increase gasoline prices acording to one of hawaii's electric company.... Now that I research this I am still convinced atec would be helpfull but not as helpfull to hawaii as I thought...
