skirra construct
I discovered construct ( or skirra construct to avoid confusion with a python package) when I was searhing for graphics packages on the web. It is a boland like interface with python scripting that looks like it is suited for 2d graphics. There doesn't appear to be a way to call up graphics on the fly they have to be loaded and then have thier behaviors declared. Just one step under what can be done with alot of other programming languages. There is some sort of problem on the install were it says there is a cab file that cannot be trusted when it tries to install directx 9. It appears that the documentation is pretty light at the moment but there are plenty of people available to answer questions.
